Tyler Coupling's David Huff featured in Safety Smart Magazine

For team members at McWane, safety doesn’t stop when they go home every day.  Their goal is safety 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  To do that, they receive countless hours of training on the job and they also read various safety publications to stay up with what’s going on in safety.  Safety Smart Magazine is one of North America’s leading quarterly publications dedicated to improving on and off the job safety for workers and their families and a letter from Tyler Coupling’s very own David Huff was recently featured on the Readers’ Page of the magazine. In fact, David was the first runner up in the Safety Slogan Contest and this is the 5th time he was published in this magazine.

After reading the “Could This Have Been You” section of an issue of the magazine he felt compelled to write to the Editor of the magazine.  David’s letter was selected for the “Reader’s Page” of the next issue of the magazine. David wrote:

Dear SafetySmart:

Your magazine is filled with a lot of excellent articles as well as useful safety tips.  Sometimes when I read about the senseless loss of life in the Could This Have Been You? section it really hits home when I think I’ve done that same thing myself.

We remind our team members every day that at McWane you should DO IT SAFELY, OR NOT AT ALL!
