McWane Health & Safety Team Attends VPPPA Conference in Nashville, Tennessee

The 29th Annual National Voluntary Protection Program Participant’s Association (VPPPA) Conference is being held in Nashville, Tennessee this week and representatives from Amerex, Tyler Coupling, Clow Valve, Clow Water and Corporate attended the event.  This premier health & safety conference emphasizes the concepts of the OSHA VPP program – management commitment, employee engagement, hazard prevention and control, and safety & health training.

During the Opening Conference, which was sponsored by McWane, inspirational messages were provided by the Secretary of Labor, Thomas Perez, and Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA, Dr.  David Michaels.  Just prior to lunch, drawings were held and three of the more than 3,000 conference attendees were awarded a gift.  Our own Martha (Marty) Maynard won a 40” Samsung Class 1080P Slim LED HDTV!!  Not bad, considering this is Marty’s first time at a health & Safety conference.  Marty works the 3rd shift at Tyler Coupling in the Gasket Department.
