Clow Valve Train Rides in Annual Christmas Parade

Every year, Clow Valve helps spread the magic of Christmas by sponsoring the lighted Clow Train that rides in the Candy Cane Christmas Parade. Parade organizers also hold a Main Street Young Ambassador Contest and the winners get to ride in the bubble during the parade.

This year, the winners were Sophie Bunnell, daughter of Cody Bunnell and Stephanie Gott and Dallan Callahan, son of Christina and Shane Callahan.  Dallan’s paternal grandfather, Paul Callahan, is the Pattern Shop Supervisor at Clow Valve and his paternal uncle is Jon Callahan, Clow’s Environmental Engineer.  His great grandfather also worked at Clow until the mid-1960s and his dad, Shane also worked at Clow for a period of time.

Christmas gifts were donated for local children by Mahaska Drug, Dr. Tom Bowie, HyVee, Gardner Collier Jewelry, Book Vault, Debbie’s Merle Norman, KBOE Radio, Swims Sports and Engraving, Brown’s Shoe Fit, Oskaloosa Herald, Osky Spirit Store, William Penn University and Penn Central Mall.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
