McWane Ductile Utah Environmental eam Celebrates Earth Day at Local Elementary School

The Environmental Team from McWane Ductile Utah once again visited a local elementary school on Earth Day to teach the students how important it is to be environmentally friendly in our every day lives.
We hear about Earth Day every yet, but do you know how Earth Day got started? The idea came to Earth Day founder Gaylord Nelson, then a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, after the 1969 massive oil spill in Santa Barbara, California. His realized that the time was right to raise public consciousness about air and water pollution and force environmental protection onto the national political agenda. And as they say, the rest is history.
Today Earth Day is the largest civic event in the world, celebrated simultaneously around the globe by people of all backgrounds, faiths and nationalities. We are proud to have the opportunity to teach young students that the greatest thing we can do is make the most possible out of what we have been given in a way that it will have a positive impact on the environment for the generations to come.
