Fonderie Laperle casts statue for Saint Ours 150th Anniversary Celebration

Fonderie Laperle recently had the honor of casting a 4 foot high solid cast iron statue of a bear for the 150th anniversary celebration of the town of Saint Ours located in Quebec, Canada. Why a bear you ask? “Ours” is translated to the word “bear” in English. The bear was sculpted by a local artist and cast in green sand and lost foam at Fonderie Laperle which is located in Saint Ours.
He now sits proudly in front of City Hall.
