Amerex Donates Fire Extinguishers to Daniel Payne Middle School

Amerex recently had the opportunity to donate 30 fire extinguishers to the Daniel Payne Middle School and the Pratt City Youth Development After School Program last month at their end of the year program.  Following a demonstration by Capt. Furnest and Lt. Powell with the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service each student was presented with a shiny new fire extinguisher.  Tutoring Volunteer Leland Keller in a letter of appreciation to Amerex noted that the demonstration would not have been nearly as effective without the distribution of the fire extinguishers to each student.

Fire can happen anytime and anywhere. That is why it is extremely important that we teach children about fire safety, so that they know what to do in the event of a fire.
